cant tell for the 220 but the QP2R ( on Bal out ) sounds better to me as the 200.

Even for high sensitivity, multi BA drivers (IE 64 Audio, Oriolus, Campfire)? Isn't the QP2R too powerful? I'd think it would result in a hissing cat. But I don't know about current mode amplification, so I'll have to defer to these engineers that keep getting mentioned.

I wonder if this would be benificial for Multi BA... I am probably completely misunderstanding it but remember reading that their impedance swings can test an amps ability to deliver sufficient current.

Tyll did some measurements once but only with large dd & planar cans https://www.innerfidelity.com/content/first-look-current-source-amp-performance

I have the Dm6 the fearless acme8 and the legend X . It’s all good with the qp2r. But can’t tell u for something like andromeda or Zeus ..

OK...lets see...the QPR doesn't do DSD512 only DSD256...however...it is shiny gold. lol

It's specs say it can only support 200GB, whereas the DX220 supports whatever the later in the industry has...currently 2TB.

I'm sure you engineers can break it down by the specs given on this page:

https://www.moon-audio.com/questyle-audio-qp2r-digital-audio-player-dap.html

u can use up to 2TB cards.

Update on my order of 4 x DX220

'There will be a delay for 2 of your DX220, the first batch is out of stock, so we will have to wait for 1~2 weeks for the second batch'

The good news is I should have 2 within a week.

So far so good.

Battery lasted well on my commute today.

I will have to try tomorrow with
amp 8 as I am more familar with its battery drain.

*wondering whether there is a larger battery or not.

*DX220 not DX300.
The sound has certainly improved as a dap.

* Also Amp 1 mark 2 beats
Amp 1

DX220 beats DX200. How so apart from blacker background, more clarity etc...? I need more time to get my testing and thoughts accurate.

*Is it DX200 titanium in a basic shell? With new firmware?
-Or a DX200 Titanium with tweaks?
- or something else entirely?

I have just over 110 hours so far clocked on playing shuffled music through the 2.5mm burn in cable and regular listening.

I have a question about the DX220 or even DX200...

With my current FiiO, it can lag kinda bad sometimes just trying to change songs or something. I'm concerned if I put a 1 TB card into the DX220 and basically fill it up that it'll lag and take a long time to browse through artists/folders/songs.

Does that seem to be the case, or should I just load 'er up and be gtg?

I have a new 400GB Sandisk Extreme and it flies through the scan and once that's done, there's no lag with scrolling at all on the DX220.
