hi.. my version impression of each AMP, in Highlight.
AMp1Mk2 : Vocal oriented
AMP8 (Original) : Neutral tends to warm, Thicker Mid Bass, a bit wider Soundstage + better depth.
AMP9 : more on Timbre (new FW), Liquid Vocal. feel less power compare AMp1Mk2 2.5TRRS.

now i'm tempted to get the amp8

Hey guys, just wanted to confirm my understanding of the EQs on the 220.
If I am in Android mode (using streaming apps), the regular EQ accessed via the Mango player will work.
The only way to get the PEQ to work is if you're in Mango mode.
Is that all accurate?

PEQ is only available in Android Mode from within the Mango player.

I think that every streaming application has its own settings that are immutable by the user. You can do that, for example, via UAPP or NEUTRON, but you already knew that.
That's just my opinion, I'm not 100% sure.

Just got my DX220 in the mail today. Listened to most of Sea Change before I had to get back to work, and now it's quietly burning in. Amp8ex should be shipping out tomorrow as well. Super psyched to join you all, and expecting to have lots of questions for everyone over the next few weeks at least.

Is there a way to get Mango player (in Android) to scan an SD card and import all data? It only seems to do this after I play a track from a folder first. Thanks!

You need to go into the menu and scan the SD card. Then it will all be in there, scanned and ready to go.

Forgive my stupidity here, but can you point me specifically to that option? I've been digging through the main android menu and in the Mango app and just don't see a scan option. Thanks!
