Hi Cobra, thanks for the reply!

Yes, tried entirely different cables/blocks - after mine wasn't working, I tried my co-workers in a different section of the office. Nada on both.
I just tried connecting to computer via USB, nothing happened at all from what I could tell. Both with device off, and then with device on (in Android mode).

Darn. Looks like it's a dud for me now. I don't know what could've happened either, it was just working fine this week. :frowning2:
Try a factory reset to see if that helps - you never know...

Good Luck,
Tim

Recently purchased a pair of Tri i3.
It's fairly cheap in around $150 range.
I think it pairs really well with dx228 as it requires fairly high output power to drive its Planar Magnetic+Composite 8MM Dynamic Driver+Balanced Armature Driver hybrid.
I have a pair of 64audio u12 and with enough driving power the i3 outshines u12 pretty much effortlessly.

Has anyone tried Ibasso DX220/Amp 8, vs Cayin n6ii/E01? Which do you prefer?

Thanks!

I own DX220 with AMP9 and N6ii/E01.
I also tested AMP7 and AMP8, and currently waiting for AMP8 EX.
Both are very good DAP's, and hard to choose.
If i have to choose one DAP, i will say N6ii/E01.

hi, i have a question please.
I am still completely new to this matter. I bought the dx220 to be able to listen to my music all over the house, the music room had to make way for a children's room.
the dx220 has a line out, can I connect it as a music source via a cable via cinch stereo to a normal amplifier? Unfortunately I have little technical knowledge, so from the dxw220 line out - cable - amplifier input (analog) thank you very much for your help

You will need a 3.5mm to dual RCA.

You could also use the SPDIF output port on the top edge of the DX220 (opposite to where the power button is) along with the coax cable that it came with or get a mini optical cable to connect to your amplifier/receiver if it supports those formats.

So what gto88 mentioned would be from the line out of the AMP1 MKII module that is standard with the DX220.

Three options for you to choose from!

Cheers,
Tim

Hey, I've finally decided to let go of my DX220EX+amp8EX-P. It's a bit unique as the 220EX mod has the latest caps and the amp8EX is the "pure" Elna version. All mods were done and tested by myself. You can read more about the 8EX-P mod here: Post #208 of 286

I'm going to post it up on the sale forum, but I thought I'd just let you guys know first. If you want any more information feel free to contact me by PM.
