That looks good Alex, does the EQ or PEQ drop volume or distort when engaged?
@Paul - iBasso
Is the PEQ only limited to DX220?

Yes, EQ has a proper implementation, volume is attenuated to avoid clipping during adjustment.

Is there any different in term of sound stage between these Combination DX220 with Amp 8 vs DX200 with Amp 8 ?

Yes. It’s very noticeable. The DX220 sounds tighter and more refined. I’m testing it with the Ether 2’s and I really notice the solid black background in some of my more heavier rock tracks. I’ve been using the PEQ on setting 6 which I feel is the best sounding of them all

What I’ve also noticed is that this player is definitely not as forgiving as the DX200 with regards to lower quality music.

How’s that stock DX200 Amp1 vs DX220 Amp 1 MKII early impressions write up coming along? Anyone? :ksc75smile:

The race for “first-to-publish” ought to have a winner by now. :trophy:

You want to PM Alex and flood his Inbox with request! He is the only person that have all needed to compare. He would add in a bonus with a comparison to DX200+MKII Amp1 , Dx220 + Original Amp1, Dx220+Amp1Ti, Dx200Ti +Amp1 MKII .... :wink: you get the thrill!
