My DX100 is in it's original brown leather box and my DX50 I have bundled with a Tralucent T1 amp which sounds almost exactly like the DX100...without the hiccups. LOL. The DX100 is still my favorite sounding DAP of all time.

I love my dx220. I listen to it about 8-10 hours a day and got it during the pre-order sale, as it burn through its close to about 200 hours now.

Everything has opened and smoothened out, for the price i paid for this its i few times better than opus #2 which i paid bout the same price for.

I still like the DX100s sound. Main issue is 4 hr battery life.

IMO, I kinda agree with you. based what I exp and also my gear to pair with DX221 Mk2, u might get the same between SE and balanced, but the volume must be high, (Balanced around 17 and SE around 21, Mango OS), and is not enjoyable in long rung.
Since I am a low volume listener (8-12). I need balanced to get the Dynamics (power) in such Volume.
Anyway just take this as grain Salt, like u said, just enjoy it...

PS : this also can be said that AmP1mk2 is good.

I got almost the same setup like you DX221 MKII with Solaris (Cable: iBasso CB13: 2.5 BAL), i need Volume about 32 - 38 and high gain to get more dynamic ?
How could you only need 8 -12
I listen on most on sentimental song.

8-12 in mango OS is like 30 ish in Mango Player in Android.

oo.. I have test it later in Mango OS. So far the Amp 1 MKII is better than my Amp 7.
Just got my unit today since monday seller shipped my unit out from China. Now still in exploring mode. The new Mango OS in Android mode really different from previous. Need time to get use to it.

I think the gain switch in mango OS isn't working properly.

I dont mind if Pure mango can't unfold MQA, IMO, not much different...

Dunno why, but using with SLitz SE at AmP1mk2 is lack of dynamic, but SS, Resolution still there.
Balanced cable is the better way fo Solaris.
My Amp8 will be available end of May... based on DDmt impressions, I am eager to try it...

So far I like it better than the AMP1 mkII. More bodied, the bass is punchier. Especially because I'm using a dry sounded IEM (Andro S), AMP8 is much better.

How is the hiss on Andro S with AMP8? My DX220 arrives on Friday and already thinking about AMP8 as I have 4.4mm cable for my Andro S.

Getting mine today, I will have to read up on the available amp modules I hope it sounds better than my sr15, if not I'll take a bath on returning it or selling it.

I'm pretty sure it will because 2 people that I trust have said it sounded as good or better than ak se100 futura and I've had that one and it sounded substantially better than my norma. I just couldn't justify the extra 900 dollars.
