Easy: Locate a used Apex Sangaku amp, add an LPS with battery, and you're pretty much there.

I just got the dx220 with amp8. Very fun sounding device which plays nicely with Solaris. It is also honestly priced device. Shame on other vendors overcharging like there is no tomorrow. Nice job, iBasso.

That is true, but the things is that I desire Ibasso Amp9 signatures if ever ! That is why I am waiting for Ibasso to release such module.

Not every amp that uses the same tubes would sound the same , but you are right it is always an option

I'm looking forward to the colder days of France. I don't carry my DX220 around much because of the hot weather, it's so much easier with a big jacket !

Agreed. It's a wonderful pairing no matter which you choose. I'll also have a balanced cable with 2.5mm and 4.4mm adapters arriving next week, so will be interesting to see if going balanced makes a difference (many contrasting reports on the net - but I'll let my own ears decide). I purchased the Stellia mainly for semi-portable use - i.e. outside in the park, yard, etc or if I'm sitting next to my wife and want to listen and not bother her too much, and it hasn't disappointed. Also gets better with the better amps and DACs you throw at it.

I have an AMP9 arriving tomorrow and will give a try with the Stellia (and also Solaris).
