Are you replacing a degraded battery or upgrading your current one?
I am upgrading a current working battery in the 229, efficiency is about 20% less nowadays, I noticed.
Esp. when I'm in the android.
This was a very fair battery life, my device celebrated 2 years last June...

I’m still having all the same issues with mango os bugging out album art when scrolling.
Yes... same here. 1.19 firmware didn't fix the DX220 album art scrolling issue at all. Don't know how it's listed as a specific bug fix when it clearly hasn't been fixed.

I guess it's back to 1.17... again. What a royal waste of time. Thanks iBasso! 👍🙄

I haven't noticed anything different on mine. Do you mean the artwork doesn't show up at all?

As you scroll down/up the Albums list, all the artwork thumbnails to the left disappear for 1-2 seconds. I pretty much use the artwork exclusively to identify which album I might wanna play from that list. Kinda defeats the purpose of scrolling through it quickly when I have to wait several seconds at every screen to know what I'm looking at.

1.17 firmware doesn't have this problem. It started at 1.18 and apparently is still in 1.19.

I reported the artwork issues and a few others back when 1.18 was first released in these posts:

Ended up back at 1.17 and haven't tried 1.19 - most likely won't based on what you guys have reported above.

Sure hope iBasso doesn't forget about the DX220 and all the suggestions/requests for improvements in the UI made in that thread...

New hardware is coming out fast and furious for sure.

Cheers,
Tim

Success!

This was the only part that took the time, re-attaching the custom clip

The package.

I only provided a ceramic tweezer for unplugging, re-plugging the battery.
I'll use the back up time up to 19%, then charge in low current mode via pc as its 1st top up...

Hi ehjie,
I'm very interested in changing the battery on the DX220 because mine only has 4/5h maximum autonomy and it's really annoying to have to recharge the DAP every time I come back home after work or a walk, so I'd like to know how many hours of autonomy you get on your DX220 after the battery change.
Thanks in advance

PS: Excuse me if my English seems a bit weird because I use a translator

I would not recommend the batteries from Ali, it's kind of lottery, sometimes is OK, sometimes not.
On the sticker is 5000 mAh, but in fact it could be 3000, I know some people who bought these kind of batteries and they noticed a fast capacity degradation of battery.
I've ordered original battery, and after the changing, the player lasts around 7 hours.

Thank you for the precisions/clarifications, did you order the official battery on the Ibasso website or on another website ?
Merci :relaxed:
