I'll see if I can find one locally first. However I do not have much time as I'll be flying to Toronto for the summer break. I hope to bring as many of my toys with me as I can.
Ok. I have the AMP3 but I don't think I have a connector that is 2.5 to 4.4. I'll have to see if I have an adaptor with 2.5 male with 4.4 female because I only have a 4.4 to 4.4 connector. I think I only have one that is 4.4 male with 2.5 female.
I've been doing that with the AMP4 for the last week since getting the MK424. It's quite nice but I want to hear what the TRUE sound of the MK424 since double amping will not let me experience that.
I thought I might have read seething like this before but I'm not sure how that could be because there should be some option on the DX200 that enables me to select between treating the only Output on the amp module as HP or Line Out.
I am going to see if I can get a 2.5 to 4.4 connector made locally here.

Yea, I have been trying to find where I thought I had read that, but I think have been getting mixed up with other DAPs (like the n8)... the IBasso website doesn’t seem to give any indication you can use the 4.4 as line out.

I recently bought the DX- 200 as an upgrade to my DX90 with the intention of using it standalone on my daily commute into my SE 846s (as opposed to the hassle of playing the DX 90 into my Hugo 2).
Somewhat amusingly, because of the AMP changing capabilities, it started to make me think about rolling OpAmps and I have started to use my PB 2 again using the DX-200 as a source and thus not utilising the benefit of using the DX200 on it’s own.
The comination of the two is sublime though. I have always loved the OP627 opamps and those combined with the 634 enhanced buffers provides a tube like warm sound and yet still taking the analytical Sabre DAC chip into account. The PB2 is a cool underrated portable amplifier. At home the combination with Senns HD600 is also very good.
I nearly jumped for the AMP 1 Mk11 module but decided to wait for the release of the AMP 9 - real tube sound combo. Can’t wait to try it out when it becomes available AND the DX200 OS is upgraded to be able to play it.
So far very happy with the DX 200. Time to sell my well used but trusty DX90?
