DX200, Campfire Audio Andromeda and 2.5mm Balanced Litz cable

And a return to AMP1

Having a change from the iBasso CB13 for a few days- see what I think with the (semi-) stock cable

Are two RCA (L/R) balanced?

I'm wondering if this two RCA adapter to 4.4mm is safe: http://www.lunashops.com/goods.php?id=5600

Hmm, don't have experience driving powered speakers from the DAP, but in theory - don't see why not. You are splitting a balanced signal into separate L/R speaker channels with individual grounds. Maybe someone else can chime in with their experience?

Well I couldn’t resist, I ordered the amp 4 too. I should have a few days with the amp 3 before it and my adapter comes in. Really excited about being able to change the amps for different sound. @twister6 I am blaming you for the amp 4. When I read that it sounds close to the Sony z that was enough for me to pull the trigger. I have really enjoyed reading your reviews. Looking forward to the amp 4 review. I should receive the dx200 on Tuesday. I will let you all know shortly after what I think. Thanks again.

So we still don't have any changelogs on 2.7.174beta?

This weekend at the Fujiya Show, the only DAP I had was the DX200. I actually couldn't test quite a few headphones on Day 1 'cos I forgot and left the Amp3 on. Next day though I swapped back out to the Amp1 and could try more headphones via the 3.5mm SE and 3.5mm lineout (to external amps).

iBasso didn't have a presence there which is a pity 'cos the show attendees were missing out.

Too bad that the local agent does not deal with DX200. Somehow any item with WiFi connectivity must clear rather outdated legal requirement
and the DX200 does not ..., not sure if they have tried and failed or they would not want to take costly legalization processes given limited market share.
So local users of DX200 are strictly speaking owners of non-legal product here, Heck! Technically similar product, i.e., Fiio X7 has already cleared the test!
Com'on the agent, enough time has passed! Do something. If they wouldn't bring in the main DAP product, they should not be qualified as the sole agent...

RCA is unbalanced...

Correct, but did you see the link he shared? It splits 4.4mm plug connection to two separate rca plugs, separating balanced into Left/Right connections.

During Headphone Festival at Japan, Why doesn't iBasso come or start marketing at Japan? In Twitter, I see a Chinese brand that is FiiO only...

Will not work. You are shorting Ground together. Balanced can not go to unbalanced with a simple adapter.

You can split the signals, but can not join the signals.

If your output is balanced signals, you can not join any signals together to single ended.

If your output is single ended, you can use Balanced headphones to connect to it. You are splitting this SE into separated wires, while it is essentially the same signals and not balanced.

Easy to remember, it is always the “source”. If it has 4 signals, DO NOT ever join the Signal together. If it has 3 signals, you CAN ALWAYS split it into 4, 5, 6, 7, or however many wires, poles, you want

That's what I'm trying to figure out. 4.4mm going to have 2 separate "grounds" going to two separate speakers. Unless speaker grounds are tied together, you are not shorting anything. The problem here is his speakers seems to be active, so I'm not sure about the ground....
