Did anybody had the gut to open the amp4s and compare it to the "old" amp4?

Are you asking me ? Lol

Anyways, I have amp 4S here. Finally, the amp4S is physically better than amp4. The socket 4.4mm has no issue. At least it feel right and no issue in comparison.

Hate to admit... but I was waiting for you to open your amp4s too HAHAHAH.

How’s the difference in sound anyways?

Well, you definitely are on top of my list.

I will try to do it later, I am a curious cat just as much :)

It will take me a while to compare the 4 and 4s for you for a proper comparison. I have too much things on the hands at the moment. For example, loving my 800s out of my 1Z and the newly made cables. The incoming R2R-7 DAC LoL!

How’s the fibae 3 with amp4s? I’m thinking of getting a fibae3 to complement my collection too!

I've just received AMP4s so I didn't have a chance to listen to it with Fibae. I also want to burn in the amp a bit before listening.

I'm one of the 4S owners since today. Tried it with the SE846. I've really never heard them sounding like this. Music is controlled, but t o t a l l y open and w i d e . Instrument seperation is incredible. Bad news is, now I really really need balanced cables for some of my headphones. And I need them soon, very soon. Ibasso, why do you punishe us like this.

Actually, I burnt in mine for 3 days straight and it still sounded as good as I first heard. Quite dubious about the burn in thingy HAHHAHHA. Since I can’t detect any difference lol

But but. The SE amp, doesn’t have that tall and airy soundstage :deadhorse::deadhorse:

I wouldn't call it warm. Because the highs are equally raised. It still retains the a similar sound signature to amp4 and is balanced across all frequencies. Yet it seems tuned towards a fun, exciting signature. So the lows are punchy and the highs have a sparkle. Not overly done and stays within limits. but in comparison to amp4 seems slightly elevated in a likeable way.

Both are almost similar yet tuned slightly different. But not drastically different. :)

Yes, you are right) This is done not for jazz, but for pop. Boom boom) Well, for most people))
