A new user here (lurker's latest version, post full reset). For those who use Tidal (latest play store version), why do I get pops/clicks if I change tracks with the stock hardware media buttons? The pops/clicks don't happen with the touchscreen buttons only the hardware. It's almost like the amp is shutting off and on. Weird.

What became of the balanced cable Angie ships with?

I would say getting a balanced cable is an important part of this hobby. So many DAPs support it now a days, and it makes a nice difference in many of them.

I bought the angies secondhand and there was no balanced cable with it.. Can an adaptor be bought as a cheaper alternative until a balanced cable is saved for?

adapter of what? If you mean you want to make unbalance cable to balanced output. You cannot do it by using adapter that will make your earphone fails to operate. Reterminate 3.5 plug to 2.5/4.4 balance is only the option.

From what I read on this thread amp4 and amp5 are the best amp available.
If you don’t own any balance cable than I would suggest to go with the amp 5.
The amp4 would require further investments in cables.

From the IBasso site they appear to have discontinued the AMP4.....? And are pushing the AMP3 with 2.5mm TRRS Balanced....... ???

Amp4 production will resume after the chinese new year. They normally have one month holiday so production should start next week.

I'm still curious why you think "second release" of amp4 is a bad thing (?) when this new batch of amp4 modules is not even available yet? Nothing happened yet, and you're already concerned about it? Did I miss something or are you referring to another post in this thread that made you concerned?
