Hi everybody, I'm about to order a DX200 and need advice on how to burn it in properly. I mean, I know how it works, but is it ok to leave it running non-stop for a week? Isn't it dangerous for the item?
I also wanted to buy an extra amp, and was thinking about Amp4 as I read it was probably the best and had the largest soundstage. But it's not available locally and I thought maybe I should get Amp8. And I use Andromeda. What do you guys think about Amp8 against Amp4 and it's pairing with Andromeda? I tried to read the thread and it's a bit overwhelming. I would appreciate any comment, thanks in advance!

Gayron, Gayron, Gayron where's your commitment? Once you get the DX200 set it for burning in and read the thread, eat, and sleep by the time your done reading all 1028 pages your unit will be nicely burned in. Two birds with one stone.

Unless anyone knows different there is no danger in leaving it running non-stop. I always have done that with every piece I've bought including the DX200. The only annoyance is that I can hear the tiny sound from the headphones constantly playing somewhere in the house. So I have to find.a closet or muffle it with towels. IBasso have been kind enough to inlclude a little cable that mimics the impedance of a headphone so you can just plug it in and leave it silent.

As for the Amp4 you can comfort yourself that it's not just your area, it's not available at all. More importantly, the general consensus among the 1028 pages is that though the Amp4 is fantastic, the Amp8 has surpassed it in most ways including soundstage. Make sure you have a 4.4 plug or CA02 adapter though if you get it.
