I'm on Oreo 8.1 with @Lurker0 1.09 add-on. It keeps asking me if I want to upgrade to the full version of Magisk and then asks for permission to access media files. Is this a paid upgrade and something I should do or will it mess things up?
It is to upgrade the shell app which the addon preinstalled to fully functionable app

I sent mine back to ibasso after 15 months usage and it was returned to me with a new battery replacement costing 60+12 RMB. Given they are in shenzhen, i think its always a better option to back to ibasso
I can't live without the DX200 for even a day:o2smile:

Ok, I tried DSD512 and now I believe in God, the DSD God.
Can anyone post here some documentation that I need to play and make those files? I would like to use Foobar2000 to play them if possible. For now I'm playing them on my DX200
And I actually got some problems with my microSD
aece3a077b8424fc3e600fc7342c2822.png

It's full :sob::sob::sob:
So now I have to decide if I want a 400 GB microSD or a way to use a hard drive maybe
Believe me. There will be always not enough space for files. If you can afford it, directly go for the 512GB.
Currently Im using and fully occupying the 256GB with files which was upgraded from 200GB, and it was also from a 128GB card.
But be reminded that the risk of losing everything on a SD card is considerably high, even for famous brands and their relatively expensive product lines, it is better to backup everything on a hard drive.:dog2:

Magisk is open source and free. Initially, only a stub of Magisk Manager is installed. Most of users don't need it, and it is easy to render things to unusable just playing with it without understanding.

Magisk was removed from Play Market by Google, so this stub has implemented installation from its server. To download the full version, updates for Magisk core, modules etc., Magisk Manager needs write access to device storage, which, in turn, requires Android permission to access "media files".

Yes indeed, I am going to do that today! Thank you for the advice!
And I didn't know about the 512 GB, wow! But for that price I can afford a HDD with a capacity of 4TB XD I just need a little HDD to carry with me maybe

To update the dap do you just copy the zip file to the root of SD card. And then update from there. Mine keeps failing

I had the chance to take it up a notch. By replacing the TK from Ibasso with a beefier one 220uF/16V where as the stock one was 220uf/10V.

Anyways, I gotta say that I love the ultimately modified Amp8. The Amp8 is totally a beast. The angle of the picture wasn’t good enough, you may see the yellow cap touching the leg of the MLCC cap but it doesn’t :) and it should never

There is no need to replace your stock TK. I just did so because I could grab a couple of them

For those who wants to follow this mod. Here is a link
https://twister6.com/2016/09/09/amp8-diy-mod/

The 1uF MLCC as I was testing just by then, reduced the excitement and deepness of bass and strictly removed the sharp edges of vocals.
The reduction is beyond obvious, feeling like masked by mist, maybe a smaller capacitance MLCC can do it better.
Just simply changing the 220uF to 470uF had already made it a beast!:L3000:
And I have searched a lot of places today to find the 4 100uF/16V capacitors for replacement as well but no luck.
I hope I can find 4 Nichicon Muse caps if I could get luck!

Yes, you can go with 0.47uF if that 1uF is too much :)

I just left my DX200 for a while, I really hate the reboot issue of the beta firmware. It is great that I have spare DAP...

I plan to buy a hd800s. Already have Amp8. I know that Whitigir is very happy with the combo. Any other experience? Which HP would you compare it against?

Flash Lurker add-on L-09. It solves.

I've seen the tweaks here in this thread and in Twister6's blog and I understand what component values you're replacing and adding. However in terms of circuit-wise, may I please ask what are you tweaking? Is it the amount of negative feedback? Sorry if this was explained before in this thread nor in twister6's blog.
