Looks like DUNU is releasing its DN-900 soon:
Apparently, the highs use an ED-29689 to pair with a dynamic low end, comes with a (pseudo-?)Pelican case, and has a list price of 680 RMB (~$111 USD).
It's interesting that the price is being listed higher than a direct domestic competitor in the Astrotec AX-30/35, which is selling for a silly low price of 399 RMB (~$65).
However, the cable on the DN-900 appeals to me more; DUNU has always made decent cables (with the exception of the DN-19), and the cable on the DN-1000 was especially impressive. This cable looks good as well.
Using an ED driver is a good choice, but the key is making sure the dynamic driver is properly damped in comparison to the BA, so that spectral decay proceeds naturally.
The Y-split of the DN-900 also looks a bit shoddy compared to what DUNU should be capable of, and the L/R markers on the housings look tacky. I hope they ditch that look.
