No - its one of the best tuned monitors I've had the pleasure of listening to. It's just uncomfortable for long term use (for me). I think it would get a lot more exposure if it was more ergonomic. I know I would rep and recommend it a lot more if that was the case. I'm hoping the newer monitors still to be released will fix this.

I was just wondering if DK-3001 is really brilliant or this thread is suspiciously quiet for such an IEM.

It's been generally lauded throughout for it's audio qaulities, just dinged for comfort for some people. You will not know how well it fits you until you try though, there are a bunch of us for whom the 3001 fits perfectly, but it is definitely the number one complaint against these. But again, the SQ is praised in spades for its presentation of sound.

Have to agree with that! I took mine out last weekend and had a ballin' time with it.

I haven't used any other IEM's besides these since I got them, but finally tried my 2000J's and see the difference. The 3001's are instantly more full, engaging and totally more vibrant. The bass is fundamentally better, the treble is less fatiguing (even though I never considered the 2000J's fatiguing before) - the music is just more, well, ALIVE. I think it's time to sell the 2000J's and get different backup phones for the 30001's. Right now the best backup phones for the 3001's would be well, a 2nd pair of the 3001's :)

If you love the DK-3001 I'm sure you would like the Custom Art FIBAE 2! Then again the new DUNU models might be dropping soon but I haven't heard any release dates mentioned.

The Falcon C's from Dunu should be available to order soon as per their Twitter/FB feed. I think they are single dynamic driver IEM's? Hard to tell with the info coming out. The 4001's will come out after but they haven't been really posting teasers for those yet so those could be awhile.
