DUNU DK-2001 - 3 BA + 1 beryllium DD hybrid: the long-awaited follow-up to the DN-2000 and DN-2000J!

MTMT Audio are in HK and have the full selection. I’ve ordered successfully from them a couple of times. Using the Earfit Lights (L!) right now. I get fantastic sub bass extension and slam with Azlas on the DK-2001. Well worth it.

Thank you.

Do they move / "spin" like the SpinFits? Or more rigid like a normal silicone tip?

Thank you.

They are normal construction and more cylindrical in shape rather than tapering, which really helps with seal and isolation (spinfits are a little small for me except on very deep inserting iems), very different to them in sound as well - the wider bore boosts the higher treble frequencies...relatively.

Thanks for the input mate. These Dunu are currently my top pick. Anything else in this price range worth considering? Have small ears, so a lot of the big shell iem's are a no go.
Etymotics have a smaller footprint but I stopped using mine a long time ago and much prefer Dunu’s tuning, and fit, and whole approach really. Everything else I can think of has a massive shell (blessing 2, t800, h40, a6).

Yeah, and they go so deep.

Thanks again for your help.

Now to get them to this far away land....

I am not very aware of the competition in this range, oriveti oh300 and moondrop blessing 2 come to mind. But I assure you that the DK2001 is spectacular in every way, its tuning is too attractive. Another important point is that it sounds very good from lower quality sources such as an iPhone or the PC, lately I have been listening to it from these devices because the battery of my ibasso dx120 swelled up ... And the truth is that the separation, details and resolution remain at a very good level despite being connected to lower quality devices.

So after trying many different tips over last weeks, my favourite tips for these little beasts are KZ starline tips. Love extra punch you get from DD and you do not lose any of the crispiness and detail. If you normally use M tips, for this combo they seem not to give best isolation, but L is perfect.

Plot twist: turns out the stock tips are peerless when it comes to isolation, fit and soundstage dimensionality, especially at high volume. I've settled on the clarity ones as they give my preferred tuning (dac filters are all I've needed for final fine tuning).
"Problem" is I now need them for several of my other sets!
@DUNU-Topsound any plans to make the dk2001 tips available as separate accessories? They are perfect for my large ears, and I'd be the first to recommend them to others as a top tier option.

Another pic, just because they're so damn photogenic

Not on the dk2001, they're completely different in shape and materials. Much more bulbous than spinfits, which are just too narrow for me to get a proper seal with.

Currently, we have no plans to release our in-house ear tips as a separate package. We have a good number of people who do accidentally lose their tips and ask us for replacements --- what we end up having them do is inquire with our support system: https://www.dunu-topsound.com/support

arent the stock tips just spinfits?

No, we do not include SpinFit tips with the DK-2001. As mentioned by @illumidata , The color-matched tips are a new silicone formulation from us, and are modified from the shape and silicone of the grey tips we have. Over the years, we've had several iterations of ear tips that look very similar. We have a translucent white tip, a translucent grey tip, and now the body-colored tips (topaz, obsidian, turquoise).

Mine finally arrived! Unfortuntaley even the smallest tips are too big for me.

Only readily available option in Australia is the Azla normal ones in SS. So i'll order some and give them a go.

Whelp! Hope those SS tips work for you then! Not sure if SpinFit has SS sized tips (don't seem to recall their having any).

Thanks for the review --- glad you enjoyed them!
