I also use a La Figaro 336C (basically same amp as Dark Voice 336i and 336SE),
works great if you want a bit of tube magic, ambience, lushness and all round voluptuous sound.
Great for female vocals, acoustic jazz.
Sylvania 6SN7 and RCA 6AS7 work quite nicely with DT880s.

Get yourself a Tung-Sol 5998 and Raytheon/Ken-Rad 6SN7 GT VT-231 for your 600 Ohm 880s, the combo eats the T1 for breakfast! To be more precise the Tung-Sol drivers the 880s to their limit with a very expansive soundstage and the VT-231 gives them brilliant bass extension and impact. So much so I can't use the VT-231 with my Denon's, it's too much!

Very cool!
I'm getting a Tungsol 6AS7 in a few days, is that the same tube?

you suggest the la fiagro or dark voice as the best you ever heard ,with DT 880 ;
now; DT 880 is a top high end headphone ,but so is LCD 2 / 3 if not better ,wonder if those amps are also best with lcd ? (and how about hifiman he5)
when you use dark voice with upgrade tubes ,how about other models by same company  like 3322   or   337 ????
which all have you tried to come to your conclusion about the darkvoice ? did it include woo audio wa3 ?  audiotailor jade ? burson ? triad L3 ?
