Same here. I recently resurrected the Sony because it had an optical out that I could use with my new iBasso D10. Paired it with Ety4s for classical/jazz listening. Looking forward to setting on the lawn this summer and enjoying this new/old setup.

My Sony D-515 sounds great and I take to the train. I'm still buying them, just got a D-88 from the bay.

Got some ridiculously old Philips PCDP kicking around, still use it from time to time since my CD's are right beside my bed.

Aiwa CrossTrainer PCDP. Best portable source I own. And it's water resistant.

I collect Panasonic SL-360-361 series units. I have at least four at the moment. I bought my first at Costco in 1999, and now I buy them on Ebay for $1-$10 dollars. These were the players that Headroom was recommending back in the day.

I have no clue what I'll do if these all go on me, and can't be repaired - since I have 2,000+ CDs, and am in no mood at this point to rip them all, on the off-chance that I might want to hear one on a mp3 player one day. I was having a tracking problem today with one of these player - and decided to use that an excuse to see what was out there in terms of new CDs players. There's precious little left!

I have one of these too. I've had it since 1997 and it still works wonderfully, though one of the buttons is loose. Recently I picked up a Panasonic SX-SL500 and am loving it.

I use an iRiver SlimX with optical out to feed my Zero and HFI-780s at home. It's my home listening rig, and it sounds awesome. So bad iRiver isn't making them anymore...

Sure I still use my Sony D-NE830 sometimes for easy access listening my cd's. An PMP can't replace that thing.
It got decent design and sound but it isn't the best pcdp I have owned. Better like my old Aiwa.

I used to have a lot of portable cd players back in my high school days, since they were always screwing up on me and I got them replaced under extended warranty. Then the home and car stereos took over and I didn't have one for the longest time. A couple years ago though I felt the need to have one again since I'd sold the last one I had (a DE446CK) and bought a $40 Sony D-EJ011. I was a bit disappointed after since it seemed really cheap compared to the ones I'd had before and it also has no line out. Maybe 6 months ago I went on ebay and bought a 1995 model Panasonic SL-S160 and it works flawlessly and sounds better than the Sony. I use it at home and through a cassette adaptor in my beater car (89 Chevy Caprice) cassette deck and it almost never skips even though it has no antiskip. It's kind of fun to listen on it at the computer instead of an Mp3 player or the computers headphone jack. It's also pretty good on my old beat up scratched cd's.

Circa 1998, still in use. Nice headphone-out, clean lineout.

Use is a little though I also have.
A large amount of music enters iTunes of Mac, and easily reproducing there is most.

Amp was bought the other day.

This system has USB connection, TOSLINK, and the analog input.
Portable CD is connected with this analog input terminal.

It inadvertently reproduces inadvertently with iPod and iTunes though CD can be reproduced at any time.
It cannot be likely to be helped to use the more convenient one.

It seems to have degenerated though the "LP" of one side that did not come up at 30 minutes had been reproduced...
