The 600 sounds really good on the Stratus. Personally I preferred the 650 on the ZDS though. The Stratus compliments the more forward presentation of the 600 while the ZDS livens up the slightly laid back sound of the 650.

Just curious here. Is it better to run headphones through the Stratus's balanced K1000 output than the SE, or is there no difference between the two?

I don’t think there is a difference but as my hd800 and lcd-2f have balanced xlr cables, that’s what I will use.

I can't hear any different myself but I prefer the convenience of the 6.3mm plug to the 4 pin XLR anytime.

Do some 6n1p's hotter than other's? I can feel the heat radiating out away from the glass. While other's are fairly cool in comparison. Not really sure why that is. Has anyone else experienced this?
