It is a strange world, I tried the 800 many times with ss and always thrown them by the window, now with the Stratus can't get them out of my ears

I told myself no tubes till the Stratus arrived a year later but I already have these RCA and Philips Miniwatt 6BQ7A and a pair of Voskhod 6N1P-EV arriving soon. I will resist buying any rectifiers or 2a3 tubes until I have heard the stock tubes.

As luck would have it or the lack thereof, I had an GEC / Osram U52 incoming but it didn't get delivered. In the end I got a refund instead. I will get one when Stratus arrives.

Glad to have some feedback. This is starting to feel like a ghost town.

You know I'm on a mission here to find out which amp sounds best with HD800. I've live with Glenn OTL amp for close to 7 months now and my ears tells me that the HD800 has never sounded better. However that's what everyone here says about Stratus with HD800. So I'm piqued, intrigued to find out for myself. My guess is that they are very different flavours.

This is my setup now minus the Ragnarok which I've since sold.
