Some of the best initial impressions of the Stratus at the Irvine meet a while back was with a pair of "humble" HD580's.

Is anyone using mid-tier headphones with the Stratus? I would imagine some of these would really scale to really high levels (like DT770/880/990, HD600/650, etc....)
how much better would something like the stratus be from my WA2 for the HD 800? any1 hear it with t1 btw?
I had the T1. Too light-sounding for my taste. The Stratus did nothing to change my opinion of it. I actually liked it on Bryston more. More upper-mid level detail, linear through the midrange and faster bass.
Of course tubing rolling could change my opinion of the T1. But I think Beyers are just not my thing.

I would venture to say that the Stratus is in a completely different league. That was my impression of it next to the Sonnett 2 which would probably be a closer comparison. The Stratus/HD800 is sublime, upgrading the 2A3's do make a difference and should be taken into consideration with this amp.
