Discover a new world of sound: Make way for the IE 200

Got very pleasantly surprised by the IE200, which I impulsively bought after 7-8 years only using Westone UM PRO 30s and ER4SR daily.

Detail retrieval is really good and its got a nice timbre and balance overall.

I don’t feel like the bass is lacking punch or anything (stock tips no mod), I like it as is. Am I the only one?

Cheers
I like it too but the cable and MMCX connectors suck. I much prefer the IE Pro cable and PentaconnEar connectors.

I would kill for an IE 200 shaped and tuned IEM with the PentaconnEar connectors and Pro style straight cable. That would be the perfect IEM.

Can anyone from Sennheiser give an estimate of when the twisted MMCX cable will be available to purchase separately??
I've got a note out to our team. Some are on holiday so I'll report back ASAP

CP100 are the compatible Spinfits. I compared them to the stock tips, and although they do elevate the bass level by a bit, they seem to take away some soundstage and the mids/highs sound more congesteds somehow, however they do fit better and are adjusted quicker in the ear. Came back to stock tips as I'm fine with lower bass (I'm an etyhead after all) but more "open and airy" soundstage. I don't feel that vent thing is a design flaw tbh. I really enjoy these for their pricepoint, good musicality, good balance overall.

how can you tell if the ie200 has more bass or more treble depending on the placement of the eartips? could you upload 2 pictures of what it looks like and which one is which?

Are these bright? I know it has less treble than IE600 but some ppl found that one to be harsh. How do these compare to let say HD 560s or 600?

You've got to just trust your own measurement rig (your ears)...if you like it, you like it.

To my ears the IE 200 and IE 600 have some shared sonic DNA but the 200 would be considered mellower. You get nice treble detail but it is not in your face. It trends warmer. Of course it is an in-ear so your mileage may vary.

A shade over 5mm on the IE 200/300/600/900, not including the retention lip

This looks like the same annoying connector as the new series Acoustune... Which cuts out easily and it makes the iem spin. Doesn't look good for its longevity. Just bought one and had this horrible deja vu.

Traditional MMCX or 2pin would have been perfectly ok. I'm returning this. Just too much effort to bring it to a shop to reterminate into 2pin or to buy a custom cable for it.

How does one go from HD600 production excellence to this IE200? It's like a different company worked on the IEM side of things.
