Goldpoint headphone Pro could work... It put a straight jacket on all my other low impedance headphones. from my markl D5000 I would suspect it´s what the D7000 need also. A nice neutral amp that don´t add more colouration

Hi everybody! I'm in
biggrin.gif

A week ago I bought a used D5000. After a night listen to it I felt in love w/ Denon, big time. I'm so tempted. I couldn't control myself and I ended up sold the D5000 yesterday and have just pulled the trigger on a D7000. Hopefully I would have received it by Friday.

D5000 is a very huge WOW for me and I can't wait to listen to the D7000

Does anybody find the cups of D7000 is easily to catch scratches, dings, dents, nicks etc...? I guess I need to grab a headphone stand really quick for my first high end phone if it's kinda fragile.

Not me. I have them since they just came out and they look just like new. I always keep them in a Headroom headphone bag when not in use.

I have just treated myself luxurily by buying a double headphone stand w/ cocobolo wood and lambskin. That will be the nice stand for my D7000 and DT880 walnut finish. I love the marriage of wood and leather

Well, I'm done with Head-Fi, temporarily. The stand will be my last purchase for at least 3 months. It's time for me to fix a bunch of dents in my wallet

I did the same thing. I'm a bit more positive than Les Garten. Definitely the right move for me. A pretty big wow, but the D5000's are already a pretty darned good phone.

Not sure what you mean by not positive, but I always am interested in hearing what folks say the differences are that hear them both.

Best would be someone who had them both simultaneously and only for review, not buying either.

Looks like I get to join the D7000 club this thursday. I'm coming from a D2000 and I'll have my sister and girlfriend give quick impressions on both. I wonder if the subtle differences will be enough for them prefer one or the other. Better yet I hope I enjoy I enjoy the D7000's over the D2000's since I paid about 4x what my D2000's cost.

That always makes objectivity difficult, the cost multiplier.

I paid $600 for a D7000. It's an opened box item w/ 30 days return from J&R.

I hope the phone will work well and look nice so I don't have to return it.

Ouch! Sorry. That phone looks like the last Denon D7000 in stock. New is out of stock and opened box is one left.

They told me new items will be available within 2-3 weeks.

Yea I don't mind paying the premium for the best in the line-up. It'll be my 1st time doing that for headphones but I'm sure I'll like them regardless. At least it'll give me a reason to "not" upgrade for awhile haha.
