The first time i wore them my brother was sitting about 5 feet away and he said that i was going to go deaf if i kept on listening to music that loud although the volume was at a normal volume. I then asked him to try them out and place the volume at a normal comfortable level and I could understand why he thought I was going to go deaf earlier, I could hear clearly word by word what he was playing.
 
If leakage is really that important for you, I suggest going for another pair of headphones.
