I'm waiting enough comparisons of ANC performance between the iem and the full-sized version, because full-sized version has such a great ANC performance. It would be fantastic to carry such a light weight and small pocketable item for situations I need ANC.

Just watched a Digital Trends review on YouTube that indicates the anc on the Sony is good.

He doesn't specifically call out the ANC particularly matching or better the full-sized XM3.

The Verge review says that the ANC isn't quite on par with the full-sized XM3. I'm just trying to get more comparison samples. As far as measurements, hopefully Rtings puts out noise level measurements (with ANC on and off) in due time so that we can get objective data.

Another interesting new wireless model is the sonicast direm ht1. It seems to be following the harman curve very closely and has been getting praise lately

Great post. I was actually looking into some TWS. It’s hard to ignore their lack of cables and convenience for commuting and exercise.

Strangely, the lack of wire is why I personally haven’t looked much at true wireless (I use the wire with a shirt clip to “dangle” IEMs and reduce my odds of losing them!)

what about airpods themselves? Just curious, I found them to be pleasing (before losing them...)

The Sony WF-1000XM3 in the prosthetic beige and gold color are hideous; they look like something I would have found in my grandmother’s medicine cabinet back in the 70s.

Luckily they’re available in black & grey as well.
