In my headphone inventory i enjoyed driving my K601 the most, I dont really know why i just like how smooth they are i have a closed D7k and some other HP which are better on other departments but i really enjoy the sound signature on the k601 so do you guys know a HP that has the same/relative sound signature of these babies but better in isolation

I agree, k601 has very smooth presentation with balanced, organic, natural signature of akg k701/2. They are but loads of fun , instruments are blended but with great separation IMO unique signature. Logical step would be to search in Sennheiser 'phones but closed version, that could be hard. Have hd 25 1 they are smooth but darker , with aggressive mids and they lack that silky smooth non fatiguing presentation, so hd 25 1 is out of the question.

Really? thought GMP's have V sound signature? thats what i heard from its counterpart similarity with Charter oak's

Not sure what you mean with V sound signature.
They have good, tight bass, but not a lot of it.
Treble is good defined, but not too bright.
It's the mids were they shine, just like the K601.
See my review of them: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/491084/the-german-maestro-gmp-8-300-d-professional-a-hidden-gem

There are differences between the GMP models, in looks and sound. Just like Sennheiser, AKG, Beyer etc. have different sounding headphones.
