I m currently rediscovering these gems.
I had no idea Argerich had recorded the Chopin Cello Sonata with Maisky, only knew- and loved- the recording with Rostropovich which I somehow still prefer.

Both are very good, but what gives?? Is Sokolov on sedatives?

Ogdon was suffering mental illness. its famous.
so maybe his brain was too over driven. it makes playing faster i guess.
