I hv the black leather from hugo.. not so user friendly in terms of the covering of the both side ends

Maybe consider the new Pionner and Onkyo Dap coming out next month. Both offer Astell and Kern performance but with the ability to use Tidal and Spotify.

I think others, myself included, have looked for alternatives from 3rd party vendors.  So far, I have not found any.

opening and closing the flap to reach the power button is a turn off (no pun intended)

A far cheaper trick: you can try to remove some leather with a leather puncher.

You sir use a Sony zx2 to feed your Hugo,can I ask how long the battery of the zx2 lasts when connected to the Hugo..does the battery life decrease dramatically in comparison to when using the zx2 on its own?

hi mate... depends how your connecting, otg you get 11-12hrs approx. using the WMC-NWH10 cable... when at home I use the Sony-dock which supplies unlimited mains-power unless you turn it off, hth...
