Have you tried the alternative method? I noticed on your picture you have Gofigure set to normal connection mode. Delete the Bluetooth connection for Poly then try connecting in alternate mode to see what happens.
Yes, tried both connection methods. Rebooted phone and repaired Bluetooth with Poly.

Ok does anyone else on here have the LG G5 phone. It's not one we have here to test out.
The Bluetooth connection you are showing is for audio and not the same as the BLE connection for communicating with Gofigure.
Interestingly I have done some more research this morning and it seems that the G5 does not work with the Fitbit health watches
which would indicate that LG have not enabled BLE on the G5.
You can check by taking a look at this article to see if BLE is fully supported:-

Do I need to check whether BLE Advertising is supported?

Yes it needs BLE advertising. I'm still worried that it seems that other devices that use BLE are not supported
on the G5 for some reason. Unfortunately this is one of the struggles we have with Android as there are no
set standards for every phone manufacturer to follow.

Does this tell you all you need to know? Reported by
nRF Connect.

Yes it does but I can't see much wrong. It's possible that the rate at which the LG phones send BLE data is outside the normal range so Poly cannot be seen. This might explain why other devices such as Fitbit also can't connect to the G5 via BLE.
Certainly the G5 is known to have issues with Bluetooth devices.
So unless you want to change your phone then our only option will be to see if we can get hold of the G5 and then see if we can make changes to Gofigure to make it compatible. That's not a quick job I'm afraid but I will see what I can do.

Please don't do it just for me. I have access to an iOS device. I was just providing input to your ongoing development/troubleshooting effort.

1.0.43 is a minor update to help some customers who were unable to update after installing the earlier 1.0.41 update. This also requires an update to Gofigure to allow the V2.0 update. Android has been released and you can download the V42 Gofigure from Google Play. The iOS version of Gofigure should have been available yesterday but we need to provide some more information before they will release to the app store. This has been done and so I expect Apple to update the app later.
@Matt Bartlett Does this update also address the Roon issues?

No this is just to fix the issue with some customers who have been unable to update to V2.0 and then their Poly is left with reduced operation.
At the moment neither Roon our ourselves can identify the issue. We are analysing the logs provided from Roon to see if we can pick up on what
might be wrong.

Brilliant, thanks for the update.

Trying it now...

I connect the Poly in hotspot mode, connect my Roon core (on an old MacBook Pro) to the same WiFi connection as the Poly. At first I saw the Roon screen on my iPhone, but then I kept getting the "waiting for remote core" message. Am I missing a critical step?

Hi @DavidW I had a chance to try this again and you can just use Poly in hotspot mode to create a local connection between your Roon core, Poly and your phone running Roon remote.
However it looks like your Poly hotspot must be secured with a password as Roon requires a secure connection for the remote to work. This is only needed if you want to use the Roon remote. Can you try and let me know if this works for you.

Matt,

I tried enabling the password twice. I did so by re-running the wizard (there may have been an easier way to do this). I created an 8-digit password. I then logged into the Poly first in network mode and was able to use Roon. I then switched to hotspot mode and the Poly relaunched. I then selected Roon and launched it, but Roon failed to connect. It is also Interesting to note that the Poly never required me to enter my newly created password. For an extra measure, I rebooted my iPhone and went back to the Poly in hotspot mode to see if I would be prompted for my password (outside of Roon), but I was not requested to enter it.

I then flipped back to network mode and Roon played fine.

Using Roon exclusively in network mode is not a big deal, but it is curious.

@Matt Bartlett, I'm trying this again thinking that maybe it would be doable since the release of the Poly firmware and Gofigure upgrade. I went through the steps in the manual, set up a 9 digit numeric password, and attempted to launch Roon in hotspot mode. Unfortunately, I get the same results. The Poly does not show as an available zone.

I'd also like to get this to work as I'm attempting to use Roon running with my core on my laptop (my usual core is my NAS) so I can enjoy Roon when traveling and off my WiFi network. I can't get to that stage until I can run Roon to run in hotspot mode.
