Oh Wow!

This update has made my Poly work a lot better. I really enjoy using the Poly as a server for Tidal.

Looking forward to living with this update for a while and seeing if it improves the experience longterm.
If I may ask, how have you achieved this?

Chord has said a number of times that they have planned and are looking into chromecast support. And I believe they had mentioned some challenges getting it implemented. So I dont think its that they have left us on the table, it just hasnt arrived, nor have we had great communication as to the status or priority of implementing it. Dont know if its still coming, or what the status is, but I certainly hope its still on the table and can be made a priority because it does feel like for android users, streaming options are limited.

I have changed my charger and now I am using an Hugo2 charger.

Repeat the process again. This time the main light of the mojo (the big one) stills off (not changes to red) and the dancing colors in the Poly light come to white after several minutes (20’ more or less). No orange or yellow color in Poly light at any moment.

After that nothing happens.
I turned off and on but is not updated.

This is a nightmare :frowning2:

PM me your Poly serial number and if possible the long Poly WiFi number you get when Poly is running in hotspot mode.

"Bricked" means it doesn't power on.

So if the Poly p-status light comes on at all, regardless of color, or is on, it's not bricked yet.

I'll resign myself to being pedantic, while I continue to wait for my Poly to complete it's upgrade, so...

"The word "brick", when used in reference to consumer electronics, describes an electronic device such as a mobile device, game console, or router that, due to severe physical damage, a serious misconfiguration, corrupted firmware, or a hardware problem, can no longer function, hence, is as technologically useful as a brick.[1]"

I'm just concerned that I tried the SD card inserted "trick" this morning after seeing some had success that way, but subsequently Matt warned of the danger of bricking the Poly with an SD card inserted. I'm having a hard time being patient with this process, the lack of visibility as to what is actually happening is driving me up the wall! :joy::joy::joy:

Just enter 0000
That doesn't work for me.
I had to carry out a factory reset to get Bluetooth to connect on one device, still struggling on another

EDIT: Finally it worked, although took several attempts.

I've noticed a bug, not sure whether it's mconnects fault, qobuz's fault or poly. I doubt it's polys.

Playlists in qobuz on mconnect, if you have alot of files in a playlist, it will only show you some of them.

It's the same for the qobuz app, it lists the tracks in your playlist, but only so much and to see the rest you have to push the "see all" button in qobuz.

That option is not there in mconnect, so it only shows half of a 76 track playlist.

Other than that, I have found no problems with poly or gofigure it'self.

Bricked means doesn't work, a light can still work even if the thing is bricked.

Example, I bricked a thrustmaster warthog hotas setup, I went to update the firmware but forgot the bloody things were plugged into my keyboard and not a usb port on the back of my pc.

I bricked it, but the lights would still stay on, but nothing was recognised in games or in windows. Totally fckd, but I can get it fixt by jtagging, I just can't be arsed buying the cable and connector for doing it, or I can send it to france for them to do it.

Considering the thing is the weight of TT2, I won't be sending it to france. I have a second set anyway, so it's not something that needs immediate attention.

MConnect has a built-in MQA authenticator--so it will work. Not sure about 8player.
Thanks for your reply

I just reread my post and it wasn't clear what I was asking so apologies for that

What I meant to ask was:
I have been using Mconnect to playback Tidal and MQA for a few months via my Android phone and Poly, I am seeing no difference between pre firmware update and post firmware update regarding Tidal or Qobuz playback.

My question was not regarding MQA playback solely but Tidal and Qobuz playback in general (I have also been able to playback via BubbleUPNP too for Tidal at least)

EDIT:
Looking on the Mconnect support pages: Play TIDAL Master(MQA) tracks to MQA supported audio.
The Chord Mojo/Poly aren't MQA supported devices, silly me. So still in the same position re MQA

Does it by gosh? I have one, but only know how to use it, not it’s specifications.
Do Quobuz and Tidal support Chromecast? I don’t use either, just intrigued. I’m in the Spotify user category. It’s ‘free’ with my phone contract.
I do have to agree that Chromecast is better than Airplay and is every where.

Chrome cast audio is rated for upto 96khz, but it's gimped, it will drop out and mess up, google aint doing nothing about it as they find that collecting user info and shopping purchases on an audio product is worth taking up processor time and power, thus making 48khz the max resolution before it will start freaking out on ya.

Not sure if it's the same as chromecast itself, just the audio version of it, but it does play 44 and 48k fine.

You must be the only one in the world then, as it's all over the internet that 96khz doesn't work and has been like that since, atleast 1 year.

Can we swap CCA's ?

Both mine crap out, 4g or home wifi :(
