Time Warner says I am not capable of 5 Ghz with my modem/router.

I found analysis. It picked up 9 addresses (neighbors, too) of which 0 were on 5 ghz and all 9 at 2ghz "Hyatt" is the name given. P light blinks as if to find network but does not connect (solid)

'Hyatt ' <48796174 7420>, bssid=e8:89:2c:7a:14:60, channel=[1 (20 MHz, Active)], cc=US, type=11n, rssi=-46, rsn=[mcast=tkip, ucast={ tkip aes_ccm }, auths={ psk }, caps=0x0, wpa=(null), wep=no, ibss=no, ph=no, swap=no, hs20=no,[/QUOTE]

Do you have a password on your network? Poly won’t connect to an open network. Make sure the password has no special characters or spaces.

yes, password set.

I am in router settings. I don't know what to adjust. Router is a few years old.
Channel is "auto" chosen,

I wonder if restart or return to default setting might work?

Sorry but this isn’t helping. The screenshot attached looks nothing like what I am seeing. Thanks for trying though.
That setup picture is from mpdeluxe, on the Poly config there is just a checkbox to enable.

The ip address can be the Poly one if using that hotspot, an iphone one if using phone hotspot or a home netwrok one if your phone and Poly are both connected to that. I recall seeing advice to use the Poly device name as that would be the same on all those conection options.

The problem is probably that particular card not the brand. I use a 200Gb Sandisk and a 128Gb Sandisk and both work fine in Poly. They are the least of my Poly-itis.

Agreed. Sandisk is fine. Format of the card to exFat i belive is required.

These are the only two screens I am seeing when using MPDluxe on my iPhone. Poly hotspot mode was already ticked in settings.

Ok, then the last thing I would suggest until Matt is back on the case is to try going into Poly settings (HotSpot mode) and deleting all the Wi-Fi networks stored there. Then reboot Poly. Go back into HotSpot mode and set up your home Wi-Fi again. Save and Reboot and try to connect to your network.

jarnopp--I appreciate the time you took to help. Thank you.

I am off to another home to see if I can connect elsewhere.

If successful: Since I do not have Roon, would this suffice for my wife's use of poly in terms of Tidal (bluetooth) and SD card in no-wifi areas?

If you only want Bluetooth, you do not need to connect to any Wi-Fi network. And, with the upcoming app, you could control the SD card with Bluetooth, too.

BUT, you would not be getting the most from Poly. At least you would be well-served by setting Poly up to use your iPhone hotspot and play using airplay, which should be higher quality than Bluetooth. Good luck.

Upcoming firmware and app may help. Hang in there.

Artwork is not displayed, Poly version 1.06 and tried with BubbleUPnP and Windows Media Player.
Artwork is displayed for a few minutes after deleting .dat and .db in the MicroSD card.
However, after about 20 minutes the artwork is not displayed.

When checking with the total number of songs in the library, it seems that artwork is displayed when 1900 songs, but when 4500 songs, artwork is no longer displayed.

Is the DB broken if the number of songs is large?

Here you go:

See here for example of using name of your POly instead of 192.168.1.1 (when used in Poly hotspot mode). MPDeluxe does not connect unless the settings are right and the connection is in place.

Thank you for this. Just trying now- wanted to change Poly's name to something easier but now getting a failed to save name error..

EDIT: Scratch that, fixed it.

How do you know that Poly has successfully entered its own hotspot mode? The P-light keeps alternating between green and blue as if it is in access point mode?

Just used the pin- Poly announced that it is indeed in hotspot mode.

EDIT: success! had to tap use without internet from the Poly config page first. Any way to retain internet connectivity at all?

@StevieDvd @JeremyLaurenson this trick is the only thing (other than airplay) that works fine for me. Had it not been for this, I would probably be in a position, where I evaluate whether to keep Poly or not.
