Matt's back next week so will be around to answer any questions about problems/issues. I'll ask about updates etc. but it'll probably take a few days to get reply (Matt will have a busy few days no doubt).

I am a Chord Mojo owner but I still have no Poly.

I'm thinking of buying a Poly with the sole purpose of listening to my songs from the microSD card housed in Poly.

With the Glider application on the iPhone, can I see the contents of my microSD card and play an album without the need for Poly to be on the same wi-fi network as the iPhone, just using the bluetooth ?

Hi, yes you can see by artist, by album....
No you have to be on the same WiFi or local network to use the poly mojo with your iPhone. However it is not a problem. If you want to surf on internet at the some time you can use the network mode or the hybrid mode ( in this one only 3G or 4G will be available as the network will be between your iPhone and your poly mojo.)

Thanks for the feedback.

But from the moment I select an album and send the play command to Poly (being on the same network as the iPhone) it will not continue playing until I finish that album if I lose the wi-fi connection? Or if I leave the same network it to the playback?

Once you press play in Glider it will queue up the entire album or playlist on the Poly over MPD, and playback will continue if your phone leaves the network (or even turns off). But you will lose the ability to see what's playing in Glider, skip tracks, change volume, etc.

About the volume I prefer control it through the mojo. When I use Glider the iPhone volume is automatically on the Max and I control it only with the mojo. More easy and precise for me.

I havent been reading the board for half a year - neither have I been listening to music in my non existing free time - the pleasure of a young kiddo occupying all my time. And its fun!

Anyways, I dont know if it is the right board to post it, but I‘d like to sell my Poly, exchanged, newer serial, usage probaby <10h, longcase for mojo & poly included, aswell the roon voucher.

Cheers,
Tomi

Please keep it! I'm in the same situation, but it all comes back to you, little by little! You don't want to buy them all again! I have my HD800 up in the wardrobe, but they all start coming back to me, little by little And hopefully the kid will enjoy them at one point. They will have an advantage over us, at least..

I love my Poly...BUT, if you will only use th SD card, I feel Poly will be overkill and a bit “fiddly” for that sole use case. For much cheaper you can get a transport with SD card reader, like the $99 Shanling m0 (Note, I haven’t used one, but many here have).
