I think you're the first to report having had multiple lockups? Initially it was claimed that it was down to a problematic/faulty firmware update and that once it'd happened it wouldn't happen again. Have you informed Chord directly?
I wasnt the first to lockup, chord knew about it as they told me, however I dont know if I am the first to experience it twice ?
Could I really be that lucky ? if so, why that and not my lottery tickets ?
Even though I never followed their exact update instructions, simply because they pushed the update before I was aware of it and I could not follow their step by step guide because it had already flashed.
One thing I am certain of, and thats, this is a bug and not related to a dodgy firmware flash. Reminds me of soviet russia.
In Soviet Russia, Chord Poly does not have bugs, Bugs have Chord Poly.
Over the years, I must have flashed whatever devices in excess of 200 - 300 times, and with one exception and which was my fault, I have never had an firmware update go rogue on me.
The one that did, it was because I was lazy and couldnt be arsed unplugging the thing from the usb ports on my keyboard and then rummaging around the back of my pc to plug it in, that mistake cost me £400.
Now we know what the price of lazy is, it’s fo hunnard, w00t w00t call teh amberlamps.
Anyway, when poly works, it is excellent, I cannot fault her, but, there is a bug/s and as far as I can tell, it may have something to do with bluetooth ?
To be honest, I have given up caring whether the thing works or not, Ive got two years of a no BS hassle free warranty from my dealer, plus another 3 and a half on top via consumer law, so I will wait to see if new updates cure it. All this carry on has made poly lose its shine
Shine can only be replaced by buying more shiny things, it really does, mastercard however, they disagree with my theory
I do still believe that if chord can work out the bugs, i do believe that the combo would/will be a dap killer, its just taken longer than expected.
