I believe you.

I also believed you when you wrote, "as somebody who has absolutely no idea about how good management of companies works..."

You made a lengthy smear of Chord for the purpose of satisfying your emotions over a product you do not own, nor purchased.

I hope you feel satisfied.

What, I just sent him a message telling him to buy it and to not believe all the horror stories and that Poly works magic in roon mode and other modes when near my wifi network.

Ok, here goes.

Chord Poly works great in roon mode. Faultless.

Chord Poly works great in other mode, except outside at times, while inside its faultless.

Chord Poly works great in bluetooth mode. Except I dont use that mode, so I will assume it works ok ?

Basically, if anyone is in two minds about poly, buy it.

Even two lockups hasnt put me off, why ?

Because it soooooo good when it is working ok and that is like, 97% of the time, maybe even 98% but I will deduct 2% , why ?

because I can.

TL;DR

Nike, just do it.

You know you want it.

I would certainly agree that it's wrong to be so negative on a product someone doesn't own.

As a Poly owner, who also owns and enjoys using other gear, I'd say the sound is very nice, and I'm happy with the sound profile.

I wouldn't trade the Poly/Mojo combo or sell it. I like it much to much for that.

But it's value increases pretty dramatically if you are a Roon user. I'm not, so, I have my frustrations in setup and usability, consistency, physical features, and the price I paid.

Knowing what I know now, if I went back in time, would I have bought it? It's one of the few products where I'm not quite sure. After all, it's mostly the Mojo that provides the great sound. Sure, other components in the chain matters, and sure, the Poly's SD Card sounds pretty freakin awesome, but with so much value for me in the Mojo itself, I think I'd have been just as happy driving it from a DAP sending digital data straight to the Mojo, even if that means a fat stack and no clean lines.

Hello everybody,
Apologies I have not been able to contribute recently.
Just to update you all Gofigure for Android is progressing but no we are not ready for public release quite yet.

During the next 4 weeks we will be running further checks and then we would like to invite customers to beta test and give us feedback.
If any of you would like to join the beta test program then please email betatest@chordelectronics.co.uk so you can be added.

We will contact you nearer the time with additional details and how to download the app.

Have a good weekend.

Matt
Thanks for the update @Matt Bartlett and for taking the very sensible approach of opening it up to Beta testers when the time's right.

I was working with @joe28 a few weeks ago about making Glider work more smoothly for me (great app as you all know, but a few unusual bumps for me). Joe suggested I test the MPD functionality of my Poly by using another MPD app to compare its performance to Glider. I purchased MPDluxe, plugged in my local IP address, but none of the suggested port numbers worked. Anyone know how to set up MPDluxe on the iPhone so it can talk to the Poly?

Thanks for the PM buddy. After reading it I am even more so looking forward to the (hopefully immanent) release of the 2Go. I am rooting for Chord. Fingers crossed it will be a glorious upgrade.

We put in a workaround for this months ago, but if you were affected by it then you may need to delete and re-install Glider to clean things up.

I removed glider and reinstalled it and after 1 day i don't get the multiple Poly output based on 1 day of testing.

So I have to delete and install Glider with every update then?

I’m using port 6600, I can’t remember if this was default or if I changed it.

How good does mpdluxe work for you ?

Everytime I try to make a playlist of 3500 songs in one go.

It completely crashes the app, if I manually terminate/close the app in ios, when I reopen it, it continually crashes and will continue to do so everytime I open it.

I have to delete the app and start all over, least it was only 2 quid.

I like the folder browser which is in the latest non beta glider, I really like that feature.

Did i tell you that I really like the folder browser ?
Recursive folder navigation - essential !!
Make your own hierarchies !

Then click a parent folder and spin up a temporary playlist of everything underneath?

Answer my own question, yes, you can chose any folder in the folder structure and add it’s files and subfolders to the current playlist.
