I don't know how many times it needs to be said. The track not available on Tidal/Roon issue has nothing whatsoever to do with Chord/Poly.

Go and look on the Roon forums and you will see this is an issue no matter what electronics you are using. Roon are investigating to see if it is something they can fix or if it's a Tidal issue.

Gotcha. Roon certified/uncertified status is something that is definitely up to Chord to pursue.

Correct me if I’m wrong but we have heard nothing at all on where this process is at!

Thank you yes I have also mentioned this a few times. There does seem to be an issue with Tidal/Roon with multiple electronics which is being investigated by Roon to find out the cause.
Just to update full Roon certification for Poly is just waiting for them to verify functionality when it is used with our GoFigure app. Everything else is ok and this is the final
tick to get the approval.

I just had a quick look at the Roon boards- this does seem to be a rather wide spread issue.
Re certification- now that's what I call great news! Thanks for confirming!

Now, where's that elusive GoFigure app:P

I am suprised Astell & Kern have not blocked the Chord Poly.

Looks like it is currently the best app for iOS and it is free.

AK connect. It used not to work very well with the Poly, hence I switched to Glider.

I switched today back to this app as Glider was constantly crashing and it is performing pretty well.

I tried AK Connect and Connect 2.0 a few months back and ended up uninstalling, these app use DLNA to play and control the playback which is OK but not optimal for Mojo/Poly.
Not to talk down or discredit the above apps but I have better and faster IU response since Glider (latest beta) adopted MPD over DLNA... simply a better experience.
Looks like MojoPoly hardware + software environment prefers MPD server over DLNA server... of course your milage may vary ... but to me MPD seems a smoother and more consistent listening experience.

Did you try the latest AK connect? This version is much better than last year.

Now it also does DLNA like Glider, but it seems less buggy. Atleast on my iPhone X.

Only Glider is crashing on my iPhone X regularly.

I use Mojopoly with tethering of iPhone X.
I am using Glider 1.6.2 but lose the connection of the Poly DLNA renderer in a few minutes.
The connection will return soon but music playback will stop.
Is this problem fixed with 1.7 beta?

There seems to be no problem with MPDluxe and Android + Bubble UPnP.

I'd be happy to send you the latest 1.7 beta to try. Just send me a PM with your email address and I'll get you set up.

There's never a good excuse for a crashing app, but we're here to help.

I beg to differ. I haven't tried the A&K app but I already found something that works for me- Glider.
It is the most reliable way of using Poly as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, there are still some issues to resolve but having the developer in @joe28 take an active part in the discussion is invaluable.
I believe he worked with Chord themselves to implement the MPD solution that proved to be a pretty big breakthrough.

Just tried the ak connect app. And I’m streaming Tidal HiFi direct to poly as renderer . And it’s very stable so far. Before I didn’t know iPhone can stream tidal direct to poly apart from with airplay.
This is direct streaming to poly without going through airplay. I’m excited to found out this.

You welcome. Let’s hope Astell & Kern don’t read this thread and block the Poly :p

I've noticed that the Poly's audio glitching is connected to it scanning WiFi networks. As an experiment I setup a playlist to play using M.A.L.P, set it playing and then turned my phone's WiFi hotspot off. It played through the whole playlist (as I was hoping - without needing Phone or any other WiFi connection) but glitched every few seconds as it scanned around for a known network to connect to. I'm guessing the Poly WiFi radio needs a firmware/driver update so that actual audio streaming can be prioritised and not disrupted by networking shenanigans.
