I can confirm the 1TB card works fine, no issues whatsoever.

All the "offline" apps work fine and continue to work fine if the card is swapped. I do browse my library in folder mode though. Playlist mode I'm not sure but I believe if you swap cards you will have to rescan the library each time.

If you swap cards then Qobuz offline content will have to be re-downloaded at leastin my experiance. As long as your offline content fits in the internal memory its better to use internal storage for offline content.

Thank you so much for your answer.

@MarkParity: Please let me reassure myself concerning the Qobuz app settings wrt storage location. My Qobuz app is 5.11.0.3, nothing more recent in the Google Play Store.. When going to "My Qobuz" -> Settings wheel -> "Storage", I see the settings as follows - they obviously were taken as the defaults when I installed the Qobuz app, I didn't modify these:
  1. "Imported Music" - SD card
  2. "Downloaded Music" - Internal
  3. Music Cache - SD card
So what are these three categories?
  1. Is "Imported Music" what I think it is, i.e. the offline content generated when I hit "Import" (the down arrow) on an album or track? It is reported to be use "1.0 GB / 2.0 GB". FYI, my SD card currently is 128 GB, but it is almost filled up by my local library.
  2. What is "Downloaded Music"? It is reported to use "0 B / 53 GB". What is the distinction between imported and downloaded music?
  3. "Music in Cache": Is that what is generated while playing tracks from the internet? It is reported as using "4.8 GB / 5.7 GB", with a maximum of 968 MB set via the slider, and the switch "Show Cached Music" is OFF.
Each of these three categories can be deleted separately, which I didn't do yet.

Thanks for helping me further.

In attempt to buy checked two sealed units in two different local shop - both have the same problem. The volume knob runs uneven - in some particular position it produces a feeling as if something scratches inside. Like two parts rub against each other. The wheel moves further smooth, and, having turned the full circle, again - something rubs inside.

Could be problem with coaxiality of the wheel and encoder. Anyone has the similiar?

@111MilesToGo

The categories using your numbering system:

1. Yes you have it right, imported music is where the stuff goes when you press the down (load) arrow in the app.

2. Downloaded music is where the app stores your music purchases. This is different from the imported as it isn't encrypted because the music is yours to enjoy however you like.

3. Yes the cache is where music is stored temporally as you play it. The app will look here first when you play a track to see if it can play it from local storage rather than getting it from the Internet.

Thanks a lot for all your clarification and for sharing your experience. Guess I‘m going for a 1 TB card soon.

@Andykong do you know if the Hiby music player update will also come for iOS devices ?
both iOS and Android versions are getting continually updated. Which particular new feature are you looking for?

They both look so pretty! :) I think the MW10 pairs quite well with E01, the upper range is tamed a bit and the lower given a bit more warmth by the ESS DAC. How's the sound with the E02?
If there's a time to buy the MW10, it's probably now. There are so many used ones for sale in Japan. >$500 off

i will give it a try (E01).

i have yet to cycle through the various modules.

i will probably use this one for a bit first with some IEMs and headphones to get a bassline to start from then start module rolling.
