Yep, I already checked out the usual suspects. There is a company in Singapore that sells an aftermarket one for $49 but they don't ship out of the country. Some other sites that have that type are sold out. It would have been nice if Cayin made enough of them to satisfy the market for replacements but I guess in this day and age that would be expecting too much. Why replace the case on a $1,200 six year old DAP when you can just go out and buy a new one...with a brand new case!

Because the N6ii is awesome, and a case is 20x cheaper.

I bought this guy a while back. Looks nice and works ok, except the metal top cover prohibits extra large cable connectors. I have to remove the case for my Liquid Links cables due to their bulky notch.

I agree that the N6 is awesome but my point was that Cayin could have easily produced a run of extra cases while they were in production IF they were interested in supporting their customers that planned on keeping the unit long term. That wouldn't really benefit Cayin much except perhaps in the goodwill department since they are in the business of selling new units and not necessarily interested in extending the life of older models. Today's hyper-consumerism world has people conditioned to dump their perfectly fine electronic gizmo every few years for the latest and greatest model that usually does nothing more than what they had. They'll tell you the reason they don't have any to sell is because the model is too old but I wouldn't be surprised if they never had any cases to sell regardless of the age of the model. It's just not how things work these days.

That case that you bought is sold out on that link and it's the same one that the company in Singapore sells for $49 (but only if you live in Singapore!)

I'll figure something out and in the meantime will continue to enjoy the music.

Does anybody know where I can buy a replacement leather case for my N6II? Cayin doesn't have any and neither does the company I bought it from.
I may have a 3rd party spare case for the N6ii. I'll have to dig around for it but maybe it was tossed out by accident. No guarantees, but if I still have it, I'm happy to sell it to you for a decent price.

Strange... I’d be curious to know how you ended up with a domestic firmware version of the N6ii, but of course, that’s personal and I won’t pry.

But this comes down to regional sales restrictions. The N6ii was released in both a domestic version and an international version, the domestic version doesn’t support Google services, while the international version does. Generally, these versions are only sold within their respective regions, and sorry to tell that their firmware is not cross-flashable.
