Maybe i'll open open up an A01 when a few appear in for sales, see if I can improve for my situation. It shares the same 4 x opa1622 as the T01 otherwise i'd be looking at them as they can be sometimes harsh unless they are impemented differently?

I thought everyone has agreed the T01 has neutral sound and sometimes it’s harsh and don’t hear anything with A01.

Yep exactly with some IEM pairing with forward upper mids this can get harsh... A01 is silky smooth at all times...

Maybe the T01 takes to PEQ better than A01, I use neutron with very similar peq on M11pro and Shanling M6 both those sound better than the A01 to me ( even plain M11 )

Its all good though, thats why they have changeable modules, I now have one I like.

Back on T-01... I am around 30 hours now and burn in as really made everything smoother and more musical yet... soundstage, imaging and layering are really top notch. It’s a musical reference motherboard, performance is up there with the best in the genre, I am sold ordering a T-01 for sure!

Do you have overheating issues with your N6ii? This Tour Unit shuts off when it heats up. Then turns on when it cools.

In its case ? I have used the N6II and N8 on the go for 2.5 hrs in heat in my pocket with no issues.

I've used my N6ii A LOT. It's never shut itself down. That is interesting. Are you using it in very hot environments?

I'm starting to think your unit may be faulty. I also use the stock leather case, and it's never overheated. Gets warm, yes, but never dangerously, and it never shuts down.

That's the thing. It's not hot. More like very warm. And then it shuts off.

What it sounds like to me is there isn't cooling paste between the CPU and heatsink. If this is the demo unit maybe someone opened it and didn't reapply paste?
