Mine too but I listen to Death Metal. A01 can be a bit fatiguing for me.

Makes we want to turn it off after 20mins :beyersmile:. I had the same with R6Pro. This is my second go with N6ii and I love it with T01. This is my choice till i hear E01.
but why ? to bright ? to much bass ? :D why ? :D i wait for E01 what it will be in the end :) if its really the 9038 with tubes.. i get n6ii too :D

Maybe i'll open open up an A01 when a few appear in for sales, see if I can improve for my situation. It shares the same 4 x opa1622 as the T01 otherwise i'd be looking at them as they can be sometimes harsh unless they are impemented differently?

Maybe you have a defective A01. I'm not hearing anything like that with my A01. Cayin is pretty good about swapping out bad units. I had a bad USB board in my iDAC-6 MK2 and Cayin sent me a new one post haste.

A-01 is definitely anything but harsh... this is strange...

@Nayparm with which IEM/headphone did you notice this?
