Cayin N5ii Android based Master Quality Digital Audio Player

I put Amazon Music on my N5iiS and I can't get it to play. It continuously buffers. I can switch the output to Amazon Echo and that works. Go figure. I assume it can't access the internal DAC.

Did they mentioned the minimum system requirements of the APP? What is the lowest version of Android OS do they support?

I have 49 gig memory left /mmt/internal_sd. I have Tidal- Chrome-Nuetron installed. I cant update these app. I keep getting a message saying I am low on storage (301 meg available). Has anybody experienced this?

What version of firmware are you using right now? Did this happen before? or only happened recently? after you installed the Amazon ultraHD?

hi, yes it's the first thing I did, try to bring up the recovery mode, I think it must be posted .. I do not know without the screen I do not see anything.

Can you get into Recovery Mode? Perform double wipe if you can.

I guess this would negate it on the N5iiS and N5ii:

"Which Android devices support Amazon Music HD?
Most Android devices released since 2014 can support HD/Ultra HD playback (up to 48kHz). Please ensure that your device is running on Android Lollipop, or later.

At this time Amazon Music HD is not supported on Google Cast."

The N5ii and N5iiS both have Android 5.1 Lollipop.

I just updated to 1.7.. seems to have fixed the issue. Amazon still doenst work

It didn't add up somewhere. v3.9en is the latest N5ii firmware, the version before that is v3.6en. v1.7en is latest firmware of N5iiS, if you are using N5ii, you shouldn't install a N5iiS firmware to your DAP.

Anyway I am glad that you have solved the third party app upgrade problem. In the future, if you were running in sto similar problem, I suggest you uninstall Chrome from the DAP because browsers are more likely to created massive temp files and take up cache memory very quickly, it might occupied a lot of RAM and causing the insufficient memory problem.

I was using Chrome to help me connect to WiFi hot spot login pages such as Starbucks. Is there another option?

I recommend a lightweight browser such as Dolphin Zero, Via Browser or Opera Mini. The Dolphin Zero is a private browser , it doesn’t store any browsing history, passwords, data etc, so it will take up less resources in the DAP.
