Albeit using SD to microSD adapter, can the i5 read 512gb card? 32+128 is actually enough for me but if it's possible to use 512gb SD card, I might consider buying it in the future.

Also how do you do SPDIF out using USB C? Adapter?

not bad as there are already 512GB and even 1TB OTG thumbdrives available.... However, I find these OTG solutions always a bit fragile.
Streaming? No thanks, as I appreciate music.

I have tried streaming app briefly and consider it a very good backup plan. TF card will probably cover 98% of my listening, but there are occasions that I want to listen to a particular suddenly, or when there are new albums which I have acquired and wanted to check out, Tidal will come in handy at these situations.

I probably will try to use i5 OTG with external 2.5" hard disk - just for the sake of testing. Will keep this thread informed when I get to that part. :o

Haven't tried SD to microSD adapter yet, I am planning to use OTG as the gateway to additional storage.

By the way, 200GB TF card are selling at US$80 at Amazon occasionally, and I have snap one at $60. Check this out if you plan to buy a large capacity TF card in near future.

The Type C has unallocated pins and we have wired these pins as S/PDIF coaxial output. You need an adapter cable to do that and Cayin will work this out as a paid accessories to i5.

I just bought a 128gb and it hasn't even been filled up yet so I could wait til the price for 200gb drops.

Nice, I need coax out. I hope the adapter is solid enough so that it doesn't come off the socket easily.

EQ Holy Grail would be if the I5 can EQ the Mojo. Second choice if it can connect to multiple music apps so the apps can EQ the Mojo. And you hykhleif you the EQ Prince.
