After putting aside my Solaris 2020 for a while after having U12t, ie900 and Z1R, today I try it with DX320 with amp 13, it arouses my interest again as it is more musical and more holographic than the other iems I mentioned with DX320. I only use the stock cable with AZLA Max tips. It pairs better with DX320 than Fiio M17 and AK SE180. I will look into upgrading its cable again.

Just buy a used pair on the bay for the same price. Campfire do cheap out of warranty repairs if youre concerned.0

Just to reinforce @mainguy's post, please note that these IEMs don't come with the retail packaging or the warranty card, or even the case. Please bear in mind Ken Ball's post (here in another thread about fake Campfire IEMs) stating: "ALL of our IEMs come with a warranty card and number. If you buying something that does not have full packaging, box and warranty cards then you are buying fakes. beware."

you should look for a pair on classifieds, used ones of OG go around for 600usd, 2020 for around 700+, no need to use aliexpress and risk

I have heard from a reliable source that they are working on "several new TOTL models" as well as some new tech/driver configs slated for this year.
Unfortunately I don't have any additional info - not sure about specific timing, if this implies a Solaris update or replacement, etc.

I continue to have a special regard for my Solaris LE and Andro Gold Ti, and so needless to say I'm really looking forward to whatever they have in the oven

My congratulations, you lost $585. Every Solaris and every Andromeda from any AliExpress store is a fake. CA models are made in Portland. They will not be taken from there to China to be sold more cheaper on AliExpress. CA has ALO deals store for b-stock, etc.

Buying a fake on AliExpress is a waste of money when you can buy a used original Solaris for $600. With a set, cover, cable and most importantly - serial number and warranty service.

Anyone who bought something desirable, as he thinks, cheaply, will believe that it is real. And the buyer will believe, even if he compares with the original. Habit and prejudice will take their toll.

But numerous unbiased comparisons have shown that the fake does not stand up to the original. Several of my friends, on whom I can rely, have made such comparisons and the result is unequivocal.

Therefore, it is important not to buy "Solaris" on AliExpress. And also on ebay, if there is no set or it is very strange and does not correspond to the original.

I am burning them in and they sound like the 2020 Solaris out of the box which I love May be putting a review together. My preferred signature is Focal over ear and the Utopia are my daily driver with Stella as my closed back. I was amazed how revealing the Solaris Mercury sounds with incredibly wide soundstage for an iem. No sign of sibilance. More details coming up.

Also rocking Clear. Solaris provide a nice alternative, the thicker, weightier mid range and bass gives guitars more body I think than the Clears

Congrats man. I think the mercury is my favorite looking of all the variants in the 2020 size shell.

I ran the clears as my daily driver and didn't seriously consider IEMS as I didn't know how good they could sound.

I didn't know about the "Multiverse" event, and I was looking for the best-sounding IEM most consistent with the Focal house sound. After months of reviews and YouTube videos, I narrowed it down to the Solaris 2020 but wanted new, and they were sold out everywhere

An online retailer advising me offered me the Mercury at the price of a Solaris 2020 after bugging them for two days with questions about alternatives.

The only downside is sometimes they are physically cold when they go in my ears, but they warm up soon enough. That's metal. The mirror-like finish seems impervious to scratches, but I keep them in the double-pouched holder and the case. I have about 40 hours of burn and 10 hours of play, and they get better and better. Using the Final Type E, the L and XL sound and feel great. So do the Marshmallows. The XL gets the best or most closed seal, but I hear great reproduction with any of them.

They are that good!

Do either of you know if these have the exact 2020 Solaris sound?
