yep, i didn't pen it, Alo/CA did so themselves...

Yep, same with Andromeda. OG units are now called the Classic while 2020 has been renamed to Solid-Body (which makes sense considering how it is build internally).

When is the Solaris 2021 being released?

If they find a way to bring all the improvements of the 2020 while ironing out the kinks hopefully sooner than later. I'm already eyeing the LE more closely than I thought I would be.

Finally tried my Solaris 2020 from my R6 2020 with a balanced cable, sounds great with zero hiss on medium gain. Literally the only thing about the Solaris that feels a bit like a let down is the cable. Compared to the cable that came with my Fiio FD5 which I'm using now it's an obvious step down. Not that it's a bad cable but for being so thin it's surprisingly stiff.

I've had my Solaris 2020 for less than a month now and the right side already has paint flaking off in a few parts. Is this normal? It's a tiny amount along the edge of the faceplate and not a big deal to me, but it's also kind of surprising given the cost of these things. I'd expect them to hold their paint longer than a few weeks. Maybe I received a defective unit?

Do you clank them together? Keep them in the separate pouches during storage?

It's definitely happened a few times. I don't keep them in separate pouches, when they aren't in use they are laying out on a soft surface. If I'm not careful picking them up or putting them down they might occasionally clank together, it's kind of unavoidable without being super neurotic about things. I wouldn't expect a few clanks over a few weeks to lead to paint falling off like this already. It's only happening on one of them and it's only along a few parts of the edge of the faceplate.

Hi guys, just sharing these awsome Earrbond eartips i recently discovered from mtmt audio. Has anyone else tried these before? Cause these are one of the most comfy silicone tips I've tried so far. Earrbond tips have a very thin silicone shell and super soft to the touch memory foam. As I insert them into my ears, it feels like I've plugged in a pair of foam tips. I've only tried these for about 3 days and first impressions are that they minimize the sibilance and emphasize bass rumble. Mids remain fairly the same and treble is somewhat "softer or less harsh" . I can hear more of the echo or reverb with certain tracks that produce these sound characteristics and overall very satisfied with the general presentation. Also, apologies for my audiophile terminology as I'm still a newbie. :dt880smile: Gear used is Solaris SE and Hiby R8.
