It was the same thing with the Atlas when I had it. All the manufacturers of DD IEMs insist that it won't damage the drivers...so I'm happy to take their word for it.
i think they should know it right ?It was the same thing with the Atlas when I had it. All the manufacturers of DD IEMs insist that it won't damage the drivers...so I'm happy to take their word for it.
also driver flex with my beyerdynamic xelento and the Solaris OGI have driver flex in my left unit with silicone tips if I don't pull my ear with the right hand while inserting. Not kidding lol.
No problem with foam tips or doing it as described.
Now that the 2020 Solaris are 20% smaller, I'm thinking of upgrading my OG Andros. My listening is rap --> r&b --> funk --> folk --> metal --> pop. I really like Andros, but am looking for an upgrade in clarity while also bringing in more bass.
Does the Solaris 2020 fit that bill, or are there other iem's in a similar price range I should consider?

I’ve bought a new set of gold Solaris today at a very good price. They will be a great compliment for my andromeda and atlas
Ended up pulling the trigger on the Solaris 2020's! Now to wait for shipping lol
@CL14715
I just noticed you have the Fiio BTR5 / Es100. Have you tried the Solaris 2020 with them? 3.5mm or 2.5mm?
What do you think of the pairing? Which one do you like the most?

Solaris through the N8 SE out is epic. I remember Andy Kong mentioning in the Cayin thread that Solaris is one of the reference IEMs they use when tuning their DAPs.

Haven't experienced driver flex with the Solaris SE at all. Wasn't even aware it was an issue for people haha.
