I'm quite happy with the iPhone 6 & Andromeda. If it sounds good I'm down with it, doesn't need audiophile credentials to sound good.

Doesn't need it. Plenty of volume for me even at 50% of iphones volume output. They are very sensitive so they don't need much juice.

Don't overlook the iPhone guys. iPhone with TIDAL and the Andromeda is simple bliss.

Currently I am using DFR for amp but it is only good when connecting with laptop not iphone
and I did order Spiral dot tips but dont think it will improve much for bass
- I know cable can change SS with a decent impact but is that wm1a could provide a significant impact on Bass.

The iphones I've tried have resulted in a mostly neutral sound signature so it could be that you need a different source for more bass. The Andromeda sound varies depending on source more than other earphones I've heard. That being said the biggest factor for bass would be the tips. Anything after that will have a smaller impact.

I just got my Andromedas just now. I currently have problems getting a good fit with the included tips. I have read that the fit on the andromedas are tip dependant. I find that they don't insert deep enough. Are there any recommendations? Thanks

I have tried them but there was still a problem with the fit. I think the problem is that they don't insert deep enough.

Spinfits always work for me especially on the Se846 but they didn't in this case

Try JVC Spiral dots tips. They hold better than default.

Or you can get Symbio tips from ebay.

I had to go with bi-flange tips on my Novas. They are the only thing I use a bi-flange on. 
 
I usually use Spiral Dots, but they wouldn't work well on the Novas for me.

The OI of the iP7 lightning to 3.5mm will handle the bass for you. I still prefer the DFR for iPhone duty but hat the bulk. It brings a little more realism into live performances to me but you definitely don't need the power. I'm curious about the new lightning cabl they have for he andromeda but I wished it had a control knob and mic.

How does the lightning port work anyway? Is the signal digitally transferred into the cable termination and processed again via a separate DAC in the cable termination itself or is it transferred just like any other analogue jacks, yet with different port size?
 
If the signal is digitally transferred through the jack, a separate DAC in the litz cable must affect the sound quality somehow...
