Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

I heard a prototype when I was out at ALO, didn't look or sound like the Andromeda though so I can't say for sure. But there was no mention of a newer flagship.

Oh what I meant was, having followed this thread there was previous hinting that an Andromeda with rounded edges or longer canals would be made in response to some that have found the jagged edges hurting their ears and the canal to be not deep enough.

I remember Ken said that Campfire is done making multi BA iems for a while, I also believe they are working on some headphones.

I think that was just pipe dreams being floated around TBH. No mention of it when I was there. They just said the Andromeda will be their flagship. The Studio Six has been their flagship for 3 or 4 years now so I have no reason to doubt them.

but the previous flagship Jupiter only stayed that way for a year. I guess never say never, and we'll never know.

Was it put out as their flagship though? Or just the most expensive one at that time?

after so much looking around n exploring I have ended up with the following Shortlist and will go home with one of these after proper auditioning....

Andromeda
K10U
Fitear TG334
Fostex TE100

Order of preference without any proper audition....:D

Also hoping the revised edition of Andromeda will resolve the fit issues?

Wish I could hear the Andromeda. I had a chance to listen to the most recent aluminum version of the K10U and it was amazing. It's a ridiculously expensive IEM, but it did sound unparalleled from my brief audition of it. And that was out of an iPod Touch 5g. Even cleaner when I added an Audioquest Dragonfly to the chain, but I stuck with just the iPod for most of my audition because it allowed for a level comparison field; all other IEMs I've ever listened to were also plugged directly into my iPod. Waiting on a JH16 Pro FP to get reshelled so I can get a proper hearing of that too. Anyway, from what I've read, there's good reason for the Andromeda to be at the top of your potential list.

I'm finding primarily that the Andromeda is going to be my "go to" IEMs for acoustic music. For "club" music I'm thinking i'd like more low-end for best results. I'm going to do another round of switching tips though to see if I can make it an effective all-rounder for me.

Yeah it kind of reminded me of the sound signature of the HE1000, just in an IEM version. I can see acoustic being a highlight.

Ooh, that's a good way to describe it for me since I've heard the HE1K. If that's the case, than as an IEM, it wouldn't be my perfect all-rounder for the exact reason that @Currawong has a slight problem with it. Would be great if I were just sitting around not doing anything, but when movement is involved, I'd like to have more low-end grunt. And since I listen to a lot of EDM and my taste for bass is certainly north of flat, there needs to be much more bass than I'm getting out of something like the Nova, for example.
