Ken,

When will the updated Andromeda be available to purchase? The link you provided shows it's out of stock.

Thanks.

It is in stock, should be ready...

So it’s the same sound or it’s a new sound?
Hi

Sorry "new" was a typo mistake, should be NO, I have fixed the typo.

No changes, same sonic sound. if you own a Andromeda the sound will be exactly the same as this one.

Sorry for the type

Ken

The IO looks very interesting to me. How would you compare this to the discontinued Jupiter? Sounds like they may have a similar profile? My end game is the Andro, and I love mine. I have Jupiters as backups. The IO looks like it could be a good low cost add for more casual listening situations like doing yard work or what not.

We are happy offer a updated Andromeda!!!

- new CNC shell
- new "smoky" litz cable
- new hand made leather zipper case
- new improved packaging

The same awesome sound (NO sonic changes have been made) The shell is more refined in appearance, which has the same geometry but is more refined in appearance. All new cable with no memory wire by popular demand. The new smoky litz cable does have a memory heat shrink that has a formed bend but om internal wire. The new leather case is more ergonomic and padded.

For more information please see the product page HERE.

Thank you for your support!

Ken

@KB Good to hear about the updates. The new packaging is so nice (especially the soft case).

I always think twenty years later we would still love/worship our Andromeda like the guys do the same to their HD600/650.

I saw the IO's, fantastic looking iems <3

Well, it looks like the shell is just better finished, with less raw edges and more "rounded" round parts (? XD)

Anyhow, i dislike the looks of a new cable, and my goodness, the old, brown leather case was absolutely epic, and this new, green one looks way worse in my opinion.

It seems that the shell is circonian treated tho, this might lead to being much more scratch resistant and overally more durable, which i like the most.

Well, if Audio industry taught me something, its that if the manufacturer says the audio performance is the same, its very rarely is in reality. Gonna check if this is the same, old Andromeda's myself apparently.

Yes,
More rounded and better finished.

Also the nozzle is stainless steel rather than the original aluminum.

Cases. I love the look of the Andromeda and Jupiter cases. The black not so much - too uniform.
But I myself used the Shozy case as it has more room. The only problem with the original case was it was slightly too small for my liking.
The new case is certainly different. It looks soft and thin to the eye but internally there is rubber to keep it firm and protect the IEMs and still with the Fur inside.

Campfire Audio IO case (until i get time to unbox the Andromeda).

Cable I dont know. I think its the same as IO, i ran out of time to open the Andromeda's.
The cable is similar in the weave to to Comet/Atlas style. There is no more memory wire but a light plastic sheath over the ears. Very supple and not hard formed.

I did see the line up Yeaterday and talked with Caleb of Campfire Audio about the three new models.

The Polaris is a certainly overhauled beast with different sized drivers.

The Andromeda is meant to be sonically the same but more tidied up inside. I will take their word for it unless my ears say different.

More photos to come soon.

Yes,

I didn't like the precision with which the old Andromeda was finished, but I did like the conceptual design with all the ridges and striations. The new look seems lifeless somehow.

The Andromeda has had a SS spout for a long time now. It came in at the same time as the more rounded corners and screws iirc. Some refer to it as Andromeda 2.0. What you have seems to be the original 1.0 with the Al spout.

Thanks for the pictures!
