In your opinion is the u12 better then the andro?

In my opinion, yes. It's very close though which speaks highly for the Andro. They're different sound signature wise, however. I would take that into consideration more than what is technically superior since at this level they're too close.

I don't know which tips I should use :frowning2:

I keep going back and fourth to my spiral and the foam tips that comes with the andro (not the comply one)

Well, comfort first, followed by sound. Have you done some A/B comparisons with the same tracks?
I don't like silicone with the Andros. That includes the simple tips that come with it, the SpinFits and also the SpiralDot. They make it sound a bit thin to my years, too bright.
The included foam is OK, but not particularly comfortable. Comply TX-400 got me the best comfort and probably with the best sound. Plus, nozzle protection mesh.

Liked them so much I ordered a second pack with a S+M+L size mix. Initially I got the Mediums, but for some reason the left ear canal seems to prefer smaller tips.

@beowulf is the ifi hiss free with your andros?

thanks in advance

Yes, totally hiss-free. Even with IEMatch off (although I use it in Ultra Sensitive).
Besides my desktop gear at home, it's the only amp/DAC combo I tried where the Andromeda hasn't picked up at least a little bit of hiss.
The ifi BL has has a pretty clean circuit design, it seems.

Cable testing and reviewing has now begun. First are the ALO Audio Tinsel, Litz and Reference 8 cables.

Whoa--what is that box in the middle that you're using?  Looks like an ideal way to A/B/C things!

I'm not a believer in significant cable relevance other than in ergonomics, to say the least, but curious to read that and see how the green monsters perform.
