Consider an inexpensive CMOY or a mid-priced small amp. You won't regret it. I can't believe how great they sound amped.

k280s did not do it for me, and i tried so hard to like them too

Sony EX51 all the way. The cable deteriorates very fast, tinny bass and no highs at all. I had bought them for about 50 USD before I found Head-Fi, what a waste of money.

Though, the most regrettable thing I have done, is joining Head-Fi.

Grado GS-1000. Grado's flagship headphones have brought countless hours of joy & magic to my life, so when their new flagship product was released I bought one believing there'd be more listening pleasure in store. I was sorely disappointed.

reasoning being i have a very strong and persuasive in-built rationalisation engine that works through any potential remorseful scenarios and positivisez it within about 30 seconds
