Well finally got confirmation that my DQ4's were never shipped and I will not be getting them. Oh well. Seems like Spring 1 is a shipping nightmare as well. It was released a month ago and people still don't have it?
Odd, I checked the captcha and it is working from my end. If it continues to be a problem, I may disable it but the level of spam I was getting sort of forced the issue.
Lower mids have good tonality and weight without feeling lethargic or overly thick, overall, I think vocal presentation is one of the things the Spring1 does best and is well above its price point in quality.
I'm almost a fan of the LZ A6 but a couple things keep me from loving it. The First, in order to get what I want out of male and female vocals, I have to use two different filters (Pink vs Red) which prevents them from being a great all-arounder without having to carry the filters and fiddle with them. The second, that loudness switch should never be turned on as it ruins the bass by increasing the quantity and decreasing the quality proportionately. I really like what the A6 can be, its just too bad it can't be all of those things at the same time. For that reason, I'll take the Spring1 as the better all arounder and the A6 as a better specialist for those willing to make the adjustments.

Regarding the captcha, I tried to access it from my pc and my android phone. Both got the same question: 1 x three? And I answer it with "3". Somehow the result always be incorrect. If this relate for your spam protection, I think you better keep it. I know I can meet you here..

It's so funny how different tastes in sound signatures and also different ear anatomy and sources etc, makes for such different impressions of an iem. For instance, I can't listen to my A6 without the loud button on, and find the mids with the black filters some of the best that I've heard to date, lol. For me, they're perfect for my preferences and are all rounders.
Your positive impressions of the Spring 1 makes me very curious to try them though, so I can compare them to the A6.
Having both, I can safely say that LZ A6 and BQEYZ Spring1 all need some tinkering to sound the best to my ears, but they punch above their weight. I'm burning the Spring1 now.

Amen brother, this is a subjective business for sure and I can see how you'd go for the black as the best all around filter on the A6, it doesn't quite do for either vocal what the two I mentioned do, but for a nice overall presentation (if a touch laidback for my taste) it certainly works.

I jumped on the bq3 wagon and I'm impressed so far. Definitely needs EQ to reach true basshead levels but I'm hoping that someone can tell me the spring 1 EQs just as nicely.
That 13mm driver could theoretically displace slightly less air than the two 10mm drivers in the bq3, but I'm guessing based on the design that bass is improved in the spring 1.
That's true but not always true. People seem to live the KZ Starlines unanimously. Maybe the same could be true for BQEYZ iems... (liking the same eartips)
I like and use the stock tips on the KB1. They felt really good, and KB1 sounds fine with them.
The tips on the KC2 and the BQ3 did not feel good to me. The tips were a bit big and maybe a bit too hard so I tip rolled everything imaginable trying to find something that worked. The KC2 and the BQ3 have the same square shapped body with large diameter short nozzle and fit in my ears was problematic. Ended up using the stock ZSN tips and I love them. They seem to seal just right and they are the most comfortable for me, for long periods of time. Neither IEM are that comfortable for long periods though. At least not to me. I can always feel them in my ears.
Comfort is most important to me. I don't trip off of small nuances in sound to be truthful. If an IEM lacks a bit of bass, I might try a narrow bore tip like the Sony Hybrid tips, and if Im trying to squeeze some treble out of an IEM or soften bass impact a bit, or both(CNT1), I might use something like a JVC Spiral Dot.
Spring 1 arrived this weekend for me just as Autumn has arrived. First impressions:
1) smaller than I thought not tiny though, nearly the same shape as my V90's. Nozzle is larger in diameter than V90, so small ears might find that uncomfortable.
2) It has a warm and airy sound-helps add depth and width so it doesn't sound so closed in. Definitely a signature I like, I don't have too many that have a natural airy sound and I need to compare to the **** (which I find sounds a bit un-natural with certain songs.)
3) Ever slight mid-bass bleed (really is a slight nit-pick) otherwise bass is nicely textured, that is my only con at the moment but that also adds to the warmth. I need more time, but a second hit for me with BQEYZ (only other one I own is the KC2). KC2 nit pick was the short nozzle and bulky shell that forced me to go up a size in tips and use L instead of M.
4) Compared to V90, some may or may not find the extra 5-7Khz energy in the V90 too much and this is where the Spring 1 has dialed it back a bit to take the edge off.
Going to take it mobile this week and see how it works on HTC10.
